Tom is a founding principal of Eastlake Studio and has more than 35 years of experience in workplace interiors. He leads the firm as managing principal, overseeing project staffing and providing direction for larger projects.
In addition to providing a management role on many projects, Tom provides leadership for the firm’s long term planning. In the firm’s early years, he directed corporate assignments for IBM, First Chicago, Bank One and Morningstar.
Tom is a licensed architect. He graduated from UIUC with a Master of Architecture degree after winning the Allerton Fellowship for Excellence in Architectural History.
Outside the studio, Tom has served as president of AIA Chicago and Chairman of the River Forest Historic Preservation Commission, as well as a member of the Grace Lutheran of River Forest Church Council.
